PROCESSING

  • Nathan River owns and operates all crushing, screening and materials handling infrastructure

  • Mobile equipment includes 988 and 980 Loaders to feed the  processing plant, plus ancillary equipment for maintenance

  • Intertek prepare and analyse all samples at the site-based lab

PORT FACILITIES

  • Highly functional iron ore loading facility with capacity to export 5Mtpa operated by NRR

  • Comprises a large stockyard, reclaim hoppers and overland conveyor, 1,200tph barge loader wharf/berth and associated offices and workshop

  • Automatic sampler and an onsite sample preparation laboratory

MINING

  • NRW mining fleet consists of:

  • 2 x 200t and 2 x 120t excavators

  • Fleet of 8 x 785 and 10 x 777 CAT dump trucks

  • Ancillary equipment (dozers, graders, etc.)

  • Drill and blast operated by NRW subsidiary Action Drill and Blast

HAULAGE

  • Approximately A$140m was invested in the construction of the road linking the mine site to the Bing Bong Loadout Facility

  • All-weather 171km privately owned sealed haul road, including 10 bridge crossings suitable for heavy haulage (150t payload)

  • Wagners Transport provide haulage services, including trucks and loading equipment

MARINE

  • ​Transhipping contractor TSA manage offshore operations:

    • Three NRR owned barges and one assist tug

    • TSA supplied tow tug, assist tug and crew transfer vessel

  • Transhipping capable of 2.5-3Mtpa of iron ore

  • Barges are unloaded by grab-capable Supramax and Ultramax vessels with average capacity of 55,000t to 65,000t
